HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath stated that safeguarding government properties is the agency’s responsibility. Amidst the growing tensions regarding HYDRA and Musi Riverfront Development demolitions, Ranganath and MA & UD Principal Secretary Dana Kishore held a press meet today.
Speaking to the media, Ranganath said, “When we demolished some structures, people praised us. Now, they are spreading fake propaganda on social media. We have only demolished illegal structures.”

Ranganath revealed that many government lands were illegally seized in Ameenpur. He stated, “Even after officials took action on a hospital construction in Ameenpur in the past, they resumed construction. So we had to demolish it. No one was inside the building during the demolition, and we have video proof.”
“Even in the N-Convention demolition, we demolished the convention centre but did not demolish the nearby huts. We have never demolished buildings where people have lived for a long time,” stated Ranganath.

Ranganath mentioned that some people have not vacated despite receiving notices. He asserted that demolitions are only carried out after the deadline has passed.
“We won’t remain silent if people encroach on lakes and water bodies. If not now, we can never save our lakes. HYDRA’s intention is not to trouble poor people,” Ranganath clarified.
