Kannada actor Darshan, along with co-accused Pavithra Gowda and three others, was granted bail in the murder case of 33-year-old fan Renukaswamy on December 13.
The Karnataka High Court passed the judgment after hearing both the prosecution and the defendant’s side. Recently, Darshan was seen at the magistrate court completing his bail formalities.

Darshan had been initially granted interim bail in October on medical grounds, claiming a serious spinal injury that required surgery. However, reports later revealed that he had skipped the surgery and was discharged from the hospital.
In his first appearance after receiving bail, Darshan was spotted limping while inside the court premises.

Many people on social media raised suspicions about the authenticity of his medical claims. They observed that as soon as bail is granted, he has no signs of back pain and discharged from hospital without surgery.
Public sentiment is extremely negative against Darshan, with many believing he committed the brutal murder of Renukaswamy.

Darshan, accompanied by his wife Vijayalakshmi, his brother Dinakar, and actor Dhanveer, completed the necessary formalities at the court. Following this, he reportedly returned to the hospital for further treatment.
As per the bail conditions, Darshan’s brother Dinakar and friend Dhanveer provided surety by signing a personal bond of Rs. 1 lakh. Additionally, Darshan signed an application for the withdrawal of his passport, a condition not typically part of regular bail but granted in this case. His advocate confirmed that the court agreed to return the passport.
Meanwhile, Pavithra Gowda and the other accused granted bail have yet to be released from Bengaluru Central Prison.
