Anirudh Ravichander is the biggest name in South Indian cinema when it comes to the musical works of elite league films. There are occasions when Anirudh single-handedly saved films with his eccentric BGM.

Coming to the point, it turns out that Anirudh is more important than anyone to Tamil star Vijay.
Notably, Anirudh has been composing the music for all of Vijay’s films in the recent past including Master, Leo and Beast. All these films had excellent albums and more fittingly, electrifying BGMs. Anirudh’s musical works played a decisive role in the success of these films, particularly in the case of Leo.

However, Anirudh wasn’t onboarded for Vijay’s recent film GOAT for some reason. What followed was a lackluster album from an otherwise supremely talented Yuvan Shankar Raja. As a result, the film had zero buzz in the non-Tamil markets ahead of the release.
Well, the lack of an Anirudh mark album immediately showed its effects as the film failed to post even noteworthy openings in Telugu.

Anirudh, who has the knack of converting below-average films to above-average films solely with his BGM was missing in the case of GOAT, it appears.
As it appears, Vijay missed the trick by not bringing Anirudh on board for GOAT as the film is evidently stuttering in the non-Tamil works. Even in Tamil, the film might well have been benefited had Anirudh been onboard.
