NID-Ahmedabad graduate from Belagavi joins US award jury

Shantanu Salgaonkar, a USA-based design professional, is among the judges for the Silicon Valley UX user experience awards. Mr Salgaonkar is the Product Design Lead at Meta.

He hails from Belagavi. He studied Graphic Design at National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. He has worked with Amazon, Intuit, Communication Arts, among other companies.

His diverse portfolio covers deodorant packaging and annual reports to expansive brand identities and advertising campaigns. He has been involved in launching several brands and has won several awards for his innovative designs. His design of an innovative AWS search experience earned two Webby Awards and a patent. His portfolio website was nominated for the Awwwards Site of the Day in 2019.

He is serving as the Product Design Lead for Meta’s Core Ads Growth team. His job includes creating solutions to connect advertisers with the right audiences in optimal contexts.

The Silicon Valley UX Awards organisation was founded in 2021 and is based in Palo Alto, California, USA. The Silicon Valley UX Awards are given by a non-profit organisation that recognises and celebrates the best user experience (UX) and design work. The awards are open to anyone globally, and are judged by industry professionals. The awards honour the work of innovative organisations and talented students.
