H1B and H1B visas are always a topic of discussion for various reasons, such as the never-declining high demand despite the same H1B quota. However, for the very first time, Indians on H1B visas are being targeted worse than illegal immigrants.
Indians have become the prime target, even though H1B holders are not exclusively Indian. The primary reason is that a majority of H1B workers in the tech sector are from India.

The abuse and racial attacks are heartbreaking, especially against individuals who simply focus on their work, remain loyal to their companies and bosses, and pay taxes diligently.
It is rare to see Indian H1B employees involved in drugs, crime, or any illegal activities in the U.S. What is happening now is deeply disheartening.

While Americans are already enraged at Indians, Trump and Elon Musk’s pro-H1B stance has not been well-received, even by their hardcore supporters, further aggravating the situation. Additionally, Vivek Ramaswamy’s comments have added fuel to the fire.
In the end, scrapping a policy like the H1B program is a significant decision that cannot happen overnight in a country heavily reliant on immigrant talent.

This wave of hate against Indians in the U.S. is unprecedented and alarming. Indian H1B holders must continue to show up at workplaces and work alongside their American colleagues, which creates awkward situations.

“Illegal immigration is what we should be talking about!”
You think it’s only our southern border that was left vulnerable?
Fraudulent legal immigration is actually… illegal immigration. Close to ~50% of “legal” immigration is fraud.
We must close every exploited entry point!
