As Netflix is carrying on an unofficial takeover of the SonyLIV shows, SonyLIV seems to be in a very difficult edge. But fans are frustrated with the platform for other reasons than the ads too.
CID is now streaming on Netflix and the popular Sony show Crime Patrol is acquired by Netflix as well. Netflix is very punctual about the timings. If CID is supposed to start at 10 PM, it starts at 10 PM, but this does not happen with SonyLIV.

SonyLIV always delays the show by five or ten minutes. People have complained about this before in the case of KBC as well. There are many users that only subscribe to SonyLIV only because of KBC. But the show Masterchef India goes on to lag and it delays KBC as well.
If Netflix acquires Kaun Banega Crorepati now, there will be few reasons for people to subscribe to SonyLIV. WWE fans are already happy to shift to Netflix.

Even now, if the platform does not decide to carry on the shows in time and cater to the needs of subscribers, it will be harder for it to survive in such a competitive market.
