Very recently Mahendra Singh Dhoni has posted a photo with Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and it is drawing criticism from some people for all the wrong reasons.
Netizens are trolling him for meeting someone from Pakistan and who has made a career out of singing Islamic devotional songs. This does not make any sense because Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has a celebrated fanbase in India as well and his sufi songs are not communal but speak of harmony.

There is a very visible propaganda against MS Dhoni which is coming to the forefront of social media nowadays. Even on Christmas when he posed as Santa Claus, he was trolled for being there in the Ayodhya Pran Pratistha.
People are thinking that one reason behind this propaganda can be Dhoni’s rivalry with Gautam Gambhir that stemmed out after the 2011 World Cup. Gautam Gambhir’s claims of his own credits for winning the cup estranged his fans from Dhoni.
