    Nara Bhuvaneshwari’s 1 Cr For Anna Canteens!

    The government of Andhra Pradesh relaunched the Anna Canteens across the state today on the occasion of Independence Day.

    As a part of the first phase, 100 Anna Canteens were launched in various parts of Andhra Pradesh today. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Anna Canteen in Gudivada Town of Krishna district.

    After launching the canteen, Chandrababu personally served food to people. His wife Nara Bhuvaneshwari, and a few other Ministers and TDP leaders participated in this event. All of them, including Chandrababu Naidu, had their lunch at the canteen.

    Anna Canteens offer nutritious and healthy meals for people in hygienic environments for just Rs. 5. Nara Bhuvaneshwari donated Rs. 1 crore personally for the maintenance of the canteens.

    MLAs and local representatives have launched Anna Canteens in their respective areas today. The canteens will start functioning in a full-fledged way from tomorrow.

    Anna Canteens were first introduced under the TDP government in 2014-19. However, the YSR Congress Party stopped this initiative when it came to power in 2019. Now, after assuming power recently, NDA restarted these canteens.

    Initially, the government planned to launch 203 Anna Canteens at a time. However, due to logistical reasons, 100 were launched in the first phase. The remaining canteens will be launched in a phased manner.
