Similarly, Hi Nanna’s Hindi version titled Hi Papa dominated Netflix’s Indian charts, securing the 1st position with 1.2 million views, while the Telugu version claimed 2nd place with 1 million views. The film continued to dominate Netflix charts for many weeks in 2024.
Nani’s films often generate considerable buzz before release, yet some viewers feel they don’t always live up to the hype. Many believe his movies tend to fall in the “okay, not bad” category rather than offering something truly extraordinary.
However, the strong OTT deals and impressive numbers his films continue to secure show that Nani enjoys solid goodwill in the digital space.
With The Paradise and HIT 3 on the horizon, let’s hope that these films will break the “decent but not exceptional” trend and offer something truly memorable.
