The selection of candidates for the MLA Quota MLC election seems to be a mess.

Chandrababu Naidu ignored many capable leaders in the name of Caste Equations and then, there is the sacrifice of two seats to Janasena and BJP.
Interestingly, the selection of candidates for BJP and JSP has upset the TDP cadre in a big way.

Janasena has picked Nagababu who hated the Telugu Desam Party tooth and nail.
Naga Babu always opposed Janasena’s alliance with the TDP, but he never had the stature to dictate policy matters. In the 2019 elections, he spewed venom on the Telugu Desam Party by making videos on Balakrishna and the TDP.

Those videos were very insulting. Balakrishna and TDP fans could not forget that and could not digest the fact that he gets preference over the Nandamuri scion.
The Cadre convinced itself that for the broader interests of the party (Friendship with Janasena), Nagababu should be accommodated.
But then giving a seat to the BJP and that too for Somu Veerraju is the tipping point.
Nagababu was supposed to be nominated for Rajya Sabha but BJP arm-twisted the alliance to get the seat for R Krishnaiah.
Even though not related, Chandrababu compensated it by sending Nagababu to the Council and will even make him a Cabinet Minister now.
Now the BJP High Command came back and arm-twisted Chandrababu for another MLC seat.
Moreover, it is nominating Somu Veerraju for the seat.
Somu Veerraju is the leader of the anti-TDP gang in the BJP that worked tirelessly to foil the alliance between TDP and BJP.
BJP was the part of the TDP government back then. There were two ministers of BJP in Chandrababu’s cabinet. Even then, they played against the Government.
He took the side of Jagan and tarnished the image of the TDP government between 2014 and 2019. And now, the same leader is being made the MLC despite TDP having a say in the state as well as the Center.
While announcing the alliance in 2024, Chandrababu asked the cadre to prepare themselves to sacrifice 20% of seats to Janasena and the BJP. Despite being in a commanding position, it has given 40% of the MLC seats now.
If the party cadre is upset, they are completely justified.
