Akkineni fans are growing increasingly anxious as the promotions for Thandel have not been up to the mark.

With only the Bujji Thalli song generating some buzz, there’s been no teaser, posters, interviews, events, or trailer released yet. With just 18 days left before the film’s release, the lack of promotional activity is giving them panic.

Reports suggest that the promotional campaign will intensify after January 25, with the release of two more songs and the trailer. The pre-release event is expected to take place in Vizag on February 2. Additionally, the re-recording work for the film is progressing.

In recent years, the pan-India market has gained significant attention, with even tier-2 and tier-3 heroes vying for a place. However, only content-driven films can truly connect with audiences from different languages, especially in the Hindi market. Naga Chaitanya hopes Thandel will be one such film.

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, Thandel is based on the real-life story of an Indian fisherman imprisoned in a Pakistani jail. The film promises a mix of emotional drama, love, and action. Sai Pallavi stars opposite Naga Chaitanya, with Devi Sri Prasad composing the music.

As a period drama, Thandel is expected to make a strong impact in the Hindi market. Much like Chandoo Mondeti’s previous success with Karthikeya 2, which found a huge audience in Hindi due to its Lord Krishna themes, Thandel is expected to resonate similarly due to Pakistan bashing scenes.

Set for release on February 7, 2025, Thandel will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi, targeting audiences across both South and North India. The trailer is expected to drop on January 26, and early reports suggest that the film’s key sequences will emotionally move the audience.

Promotions are set to scale up with Naga Chaitanya and Chandoo Mondeti promoting the film in cities like Mumbai and Delhi, aiming to tap into the Hindi belts.

Thandel has potential to help Naga Chaitanya bounce back from previous disasters and re-establish himself as a star. If the film’s content connects with the audience, Thandel could be a major turning point for Naga Chaitanya.
