Former BRS Minister Harish Rao held a press meet today in response to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s press conference on the Musi River, which was held yesterday.
Speaking to the media, Harish Rao called Revanth’s statements baseless. “He (Revanth) said that it is not the Musi Beautification Project but the Musi Rejuvenation Project. But the video he showed looks like an AI-generated real estate presentation.”

Harish Rao stated that the Musi River is being polluted due to waste from industries in areas like Balanagar, Sanath Nagar, Jeedimetla, and IDA Bollarum. He emphasized that steps need to be taken to control the discharge of this waste into the river. He said this is how to cleanse the river, not by demolishing poor people’s houses along the riverbed.
He accused Revanth Reddy of turning the land proposed for Pharma City by the BRS government into “Fourth City” land, allegedly for personal profit through real estate. He alleged that Revanth is doing real estate business under the name of the Musi Rejuvenation Project and the Fourth City Project.

Harish Rao also condemned Revanth’s accusations about reservoirs constructed by BRS. He challenged Revanth Reddy to join him on a car ride to Musi, Mallanna Sagar, Konda Pochamma, and Ranga Nayaka Sagar without any security to know what exactly people feel about BRS’s projects and Congress’s Musi project.
