Kannada star hero Darshan, who was arrested in his fan Renuaka Swamy’s murder case, has been granted interim bail by the Karnataka High Court.
Darshan filed a bail petition stating that he needed to undergo surgery. Upon hearing the petition, the court’s single bench, consisting of Justice S Vishwajith Shetty, granted interim bail of six weeks to Darshan.

The state presented medical reports in a sealed cover from doctors at Ballari Central Prison and the head of the department of neurology at a government hospital in Ballari.
It was stated that Darshan has been experiencing numbness in his feet for some time and he wanted to undergo surgery for the same in a private hospital in Mysuru. The actor further stated that he would cover the expenses of the treatment himself.

Darshan was arrested on June 11 due to his alleged involvement in the murder case of his fan Renuka Swamy. He applied for bail in the sessions court in September but the petition was dismissed. Thus, he approached the High Court.
