The match between CSK and MI had everything one could possibly ask for. With the spin magic working wonders at Chepauk, CSK were able to clinch victory from the hands of a collapsed MI batting unit.
Despite the win, many fans were not satisfied with the way things played out, particularly regarding Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Many die-hard CSK fans have, time and again, expressed their desire to see Dhoni contribute more with the bat when it’s the need of the hour.
While Dhoni gave a glimpse of his batting, facing just two balls, people claimed that he should have come at least before Ravindra Jadeja to prevent the slightest chance of the match slipping away from CSK’s grasp.

Some ‘Dhoni fans’ also received criticism for wanting to see Dhoni bat more balls, even if it meant a quick collapse of the CSK batting lineup.
It is high time the CSK fans realise the need of the hour and start rallying more behind their team rather than just MSD.

Although there is no doubt regarding Dhoni’s contributions to the team, the passing of the torch will not happen unless it has the support of CSK’s massive fanbase, starting by showing equal enthusiasm for each player on the side.
With the Lion Army set to play next against RCB on 28th March, it will be interesting to see how things play out as both teams go head-to-head in Chennai.
