Suriya is actively promoting his upcoming magnum opus Kanguva, directed by Siva.
He has recently completed shooting for Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, which is slated for release in Summer 2025. Now, he is preparing for his next project, tentatively titled Karuppu, in collaboration with director RJ Balaji.

The latest news suggests that Suriya 45 will be a spiritual fantasy entertainer, with actress Kashmira Pardeshi confirmed for a key role.
Recently, reports emerged that actress Rukmini Vasanth is also in talks to join the cast in a significant capacity.

Additionally, there’s speculation about Sita Ramam sensation Mrunal Thakur being signed on as the main female lead opposite Suriya, which has heightened expectations for the film.
Mrunal Thakur generally avoids doing multiple heroine films. She prefers the focus to remain on her in the entire film. This is the first time in the past few years she has decided to do a film with three heroines.

It is speculated that either the role is strong enough to shine among the crowd or the paycheck must be fat enough for Mrunal to sign this film.
The filming for Karuppu is expected to commence in the first week of November, with scenic locations such as Kodaikanal and Ooty potentially serving as beautiful backdrops.
