Mrunal Thakur’s rise to stardom is largely due to her breakthrough role in Sita Ramam, which won her a special place in Telugu cinema and garnered her a massive fanbase. Her next film Hi Nanna also turned out to be a good success for her.
However, her position in Bollywood hasn’t seen the anticipated growth. In Tollywood, too, her opportunities have dwindled after the disastrous fate of Family Star.

Despite these setbacks, she has been striving to make her mark in Bollywood. Now, it seems she has secured another major opportunity that could elevate her career to new heights.
This time, she is reportedly going to feature in a sequel to the hit Bollywood film Son of Sardaar, which starred Ajay Devgn.

The first part was a remake of SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster Maryada Ramanna. There are no reports to confirm if the sequel is a remake or not.
The makers are planning to make the sequel even grander, with new twists and a fresh perspective, while it’s expected to retain some similarities to the original one by Rajamouli.

The makers will definitely promote SOS 2 capitalizing on the recall factor of the first part which had Rajamouli’s touch.
We have to see if Rajamouli’s branding will give any boost to Mrunal Thakur’s career in Bollywood.
The film will include elements of comedy, emotional drama, and family bonds, with the makers planning to bring in new angles to add more entertainment value.
The sequel is slated for release on July 25, 2025.
