The theatrical trailer for director Harish Shankar’s new film with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Mr Bachchan is out. It is a remake of the Bollywood flick Raid, and we have to say, that Harish Shankar hasn’t changed much in adapting things in his typical style.
It might come as a surprise, but Mr Bachchan is Harish Shankar’s first outing in nearly five years. His last flick was Gaddalakonda Ganesh in 2019. And like the Varun Tej starrer which was a remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda, Mr Bachchan is the remake of Hindi movie Raid.

From the first impression, it is clear that Harish Shankar has gone in his usual style of adapting Raid. The comedy track and the music amplify the impact in that direction. The casting and presentation further cement the opinion. As always, his blend of entertainment (comedy, romance and songs) would be the deciding factor in the final outcome.
The amount of routineness would be the key here to the reception of the movie based on the trailer. The setting and story offer freshness, but will the ‘entertainment’ drown it will be the crucial thing.

As things stand, the trailer is decent enough, but it needs to be seen if it helps people move in droves for the big Independence Day weekend against all the competition.
Check out the trailer below. Ravi Teja is paired with Bhagyashri Borse. Jagapathi Babu plays the antagonist. The People Media Factory production will hit the screens all over on August 15th with paid premieres across the Telugu states from the evening of August 14th.
