We have seen certain TV shows that became cult classics with a lot of viewership over the years. One of them was CID, which accumulated a huge fanbase due to its thrilling screenplay that entertained the audience from the beginning until the end.

After a long run of 20 years, the show ended in 2018, leaving everyone disappointed. Meanwhile, the good news is that the series is returning soon with a new season.

The official announcement was made through the channel’s official Instagram video with a video, featuring Shivaaji Satam as ACP Pradyuman. However, the rest of the team members were not disclosed except that the camera focused on the intense eyes of an anonymous person.

The clip eventually disclosed in the end that the promo for the new installment will arrive on October 26, 2024. Considering that the makers have maintained silence for a long time, other details will be revealed only after the promo is out.

Notably, the character of Frederick won’t appear since the actor who played the role, Dinesh Phadnis, died back in December last year.

Since the news of the new season came out without any tease, netizens expressed their happiness in the comments section of the social media post. Most of them stated that they were satisfied with getting a chance to relive their childhood memories.
