Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski hit back at their critics for shaming them to have met President-elect Donald Trump after years of criticizing him and sources close to the show claimed the meeting was ‘f**king worth it’ as Trump would now tone down and he already praised free press publicly on Fox News. Scarborough and Brzezinski announced on air that they went to Florida to meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago to patch things up with him and to take a new approach to which they said Trump reacted warmly.
The Daily Beast reported that the meeting was not disclosed to the MSNBC bosses prior to its arrangement and Joe and Mika were right to not turn down the opportunity to meet Trump as it would have been a journalistic malpractice.
“Any practicing journalist or news host would take an off the record meeting with the incoming President of the United States. End of discussion,” an NBC source told the Daily Beast.
Trump reacted to meeting the ‘hostile’ hosts and said the meeting was cordial and should have happened earlier. “In many ways, it’s too bad that it wasn’t done long ago,” Trump said adding that he received a call from Scarborough for the meeting.

Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann called Scarborough a “political whore” and former GOP congressman Adam Kinzinger said that they went to meet Trump and there was no interview. “The fact that they went without getting an interview, but just to make up, is worse,” he wrote on X.
