Mo Salah has revealed how he is spurring himself on in what could be his final season at Liverpool.

Salah, 32, is out of contract in June, and claimed back in January that this will be his 'last year' at Anfield.

However, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, he is enjoying arguably the best campaign of his career, having scored 30 goals and registered 22 assists across all competitions.

Liverpool are still in the hunt for three trophies, but Salah has made it abundantly clear as to which one is the most important to him this season.

He has claimed that he would love to win the Premier League more than anything so that the players can celebrate with the fans, which they were unable to do back in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

'The biggest motivation is to win the Premier League,' he told Optus Sport. 'Not even the Champions League. I always say Champions League, for seven years I said the Champions League. This is the first year I say the Premier League.

'I just want to win the Premier League with the city and the fans to experience that day with them to go and parade in the city. It's going to be incredible.'

Liverpool are currently in pole position to win their second Premier League title after opening up a 13-point lead on Arsenal - albeit having played a game more than the Gunners.

They also have a Carabao Cup final to look forward to later this month against Newcastle, but first they must try to get past French champions PSG in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Salah has already experienced the feeling of parading the Champions League trophy around Liverpool back in 2019, and he wants to recreate that day in May, but this time with the Premier League trophy.

Reflecting on the open-top bus parade that followed Liverpool's 2019 Champions League triumph, Salah said: 'It's an incredible day to be fair. That's why I'm really desperate to win the Premier League with the club now and have the same day as this one.

'It's going to be unforgettable because I know how much it means to win the Premier League.'
