  • Mike Tyson’s trainer has lifted the lid on how the legend will approach Jake Paul
  • The fight between the two had to be pushed back after a Tyson health scare
  • Tyson also recently gave an update on his condition with the bout looming

Mike Tyson will pummel Jake Paul with an aggressive strategy when they lock horns in Texas in mid-November, one of his trainers has revealed.

That promise comes amid ongoing health concerns for the 58-year-old, who recently issued an alarming update on his condition.

Tyson and Paul will meet at the 80,000-seat AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on November 15 in an exhibition bout live streamed on Netflix.

The dust-up between the former heavyweight champion and Paul, 27, was originally supposed to happen in July but was bumped back after Tyson suffered a medical scare in May.

‘If the fight were today, would be done,’ said one of Tyson’s coaches in a promotional video.

‘He throws missiles, not just one bomb. The bombs, they come one after another.’

Those missiles will be launched against a credible opponent in Paul, who has won nine of his 10 professional bouts, only losing to Tommy Fury by split decision last year.

However, Tyson’s health casts doubt on his ability to compete. In May a flight he was on was delayed while he needed medical attention due to becoming dizzy and nauseous — symptoms that are said to be linked to an ulcer, thought to be in his abdomen.

His representatives insisted that the flight from Miami to Los Angeles was not delayed due to his treatment but because of air conditioning.

He also told Newsmax: ‘I have sciatica every now and then, it flares up. When it flares up, I can’t even talk!’

Sciatica is a medical condition where the nerve that runs from your lower back to your feet is irritated or compressed.

Back pain was actually what initially forced him to walk away from boxing in 2005 after enjoying a 20-year-long career.

In 2002, after losing to Lennox Lewis, Tyson shouted out ‘I broke my back, my back is broken, Spinal!’.

Then, in September this year, he dropped a bombshell revelation: ‘It’s hard to walk right now.

‘But two months from now I’m going to be perfect. The fight is won in the gym.

‘Listen, I’ll do anything that will help me.

‘I’m going to enjoy my time here tonight with all my childhood friends, and the hell with Jake Paul.’

Years spent in the ring combined with drug problems and a never-say-die attitude during his career has seen Tyson’s health deteriorate over the years.

The American himself admitted on his own Hotboxin’ podcast that he believes he does not have that long left to live.

‘We’re all gonna die one day of course. Then, when I look in the mirror, I see those little spots on my face,’ he said.

‘I say, Wow. That means my expiration date is coming close, really soon.’
