Microsoft Offered FTC Binding Agreement on Call of Duty

Microsoft Corp. President Brad Smith said the software giant told the US Federal Trade Commission that it would sign a legally binding agreement guaranteeing it would provide Call of Duty to gaming rivals including Sony Group Corp. as part of its $69 billion purchase of Activision Blizzard Inc.

The company, seeking regulatory approval for the deal, said it made the offer before meetings last week with FTC commissioners and before the agency voted to sue to block the deal.
