Messenger App To Bring New Favourites Chat Filter; Here’s It Works


WhatsApp is working on a new Favourites chat filter that will be an upgraded version of chat pinning feature. The feature will let users segregate the most used chats from others.

WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp, one of the most used messaging apps in the world, is reportedly working on an update that will enhance the user experience. The messaging app will soon introduce a new feature which will allow users to add and filter their favourite chats for easier access, WABetainfo reported. Currently, Meta is working on the feature and it is under development mode and will soon roll out for testers, who have registered through the Google Play Beta Program. First, the developers will clear the feature then it will go to the testers who use and test it. Additionally, there are reports that WhatsApp is also testing unread messages and group filters that will show specific chats.

This new feature will let the users select the most commonly used chats and add them to the favourites list. This option will surely enhance the user experience as it will allow them to segregate their regular contacts from others.

Users can imagine this feature as an upgrade to the chat pinning one. Notably, the messenger app currently does not only allow over three chats to be pinned on top.
