Telangana state has secured a landmark deal with McDonald’s by bringing its Global Office for India to Hyderabad.
The deal was inked between Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski. The discussions were held at the Assembly today between CM and CEO of McDonald’s following which the deal was signed. Telangana will be a key hub for the multinational’s operations.

The global office will initially have 2000 employees and the MNC will tap into Telangana’s skilling programmes to train employees. It will also expand its restaurant chain and procure locally produced farm products benefiting farmers and boosting local employment.
McDonald’s India has 26 outlets in Hyderabad. The first McDonald’s was started in IMAX in 2005-6. McDonald’s is currently looking at increasing its restaurant footprint in India.
