Germany has made it quite clear in recent times that it wants more Indians to stay in the country. The large scientific diaspora of Indians in Germany contribute to a great deal in making the country more enriched and advanced. The country has made some radical changes in the visa processing system which is going to benefit a large number of Indians.
Germany has decreased the visa processing time for skilled Indian workers. While earlier it used to take 9 months for the visa to get processed, it’ll only take 2 weeks in this new system. This means that there will be a huge reduction in the backlog piling up over time.

Many Indians are happy about this and believe that it can help the Indian workforce get an opportunity to work in a European country. India has been a major exporter of skilled talent and Germany is one of the most sought after places by many Indians.
Germany wants more and more Indians to stay because of an exodus of English speaking people from the country. Many have been driven to other European countries for better opportunities and this has left the country with a scarcity of English speakers. The Indian workforce is usually well versed in English and can hence help Germany in this regard.
