    Maruti Jimny to Citroen eC3


    Indians have become obsessed with SUVs and the major automakers of the country have caught on to this fact and are now releasing SUVs in almost each and every segment. In the recent few years, there has been an influx of numerous new SUVs and there does not seem to be a stopping point. So if you are one of those SUV lovers and are planning to buy a new SUV, this list is for you! This list will help you with all the SUVs that will be getting launched in the next three months in India.

    Maruti Suzuki Fronx

    The first model in this list that will be soon launched in India is the most unique product from the country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Limited. It’s the Fronx crossover. The model will be launched in the middle of March this year. For those who do not know the Fronx is the Maruti Suzuki’s newest crossover SUV that was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo. The model will boast the styling of company’s flagship SUV the Grand Vitara and will be based on the platform of the premium hatchback Baleno. It will come in five different variants and will be offered with two petrol powerplants.

    Tata Harrier ADAS

    Tata Motors showcased the all-new Red Edition of its famous SUV the Harrier at the Auto Expo 2023 alongside its elder sibling the Safari Red Edition. The Harrier Red Edition will come equipped with the highly anticipated Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and most likely the model will be launched in the March of this year.  The SUV will come with ADAS features including autonomous emergency braking (AEB), front collision detection, lane assist, and even traffic sign recognition. The Red Dark model will also come with six airbags in addition to these state-of-the-art collision avoidance technologies. The Harrier Red Edition will mechanically remain unaltered.

    Tata Safari ADAS

    As mentioned, Tata Motors alongside the updated Harrier at the Auto Expo 2023 showcased the Red Edition of the flagship SUV Safari as well. Like the Harrier it will also be launched in the March of this year as well. Furthermore it will also come equipped with ADAS features and both the SUVs also get all-new ‘Carnelian’ red seat upholstery with a quilted pattern, red leatherette grab handles, grey dashboard trim, and piano black accents on the steering wheel. Both SUVs will now also get larger 10.25-inch infotainment screens and 360 degree cameras. The drivetrain will  remain the same in the Safari as well.

    Citroen eC3

    The French automaker Citroen earlier in January of this year unveioled the electrofed iteration of its hatchback c3 in the country. The company commenced the bookings of the model on January 25th for Rs 25,000 and it is ecpected that the model will be launched later this month. The eC3 will be available from Citroen in two variations: Live and Feel. The more expensive Feel model will get features like the touchscreen, 4-speaker stereo system, and height-adjustable driver seat. The Citroen eC3 is powered by a 29.2 kWh battery pack. The electric motor on this hatchback generates 57 Bhp and 143 Nm of peak torque. The hatchback has a top speed of 107 kmph and it can do 0-60 kmph in 6.8 seconds. The car offers a claimed range of 320 km.

    Maruti Suzuki Jimny

    Maruti Suzuki will most likely launch the highly anticipated lifestyle off-roader the Jimny five-door by the end of May of this year. The much-awaited SUV might make its formal debut on May 24. The model even before hitting the showroom floors has gathered expectational hype and demand and despite demanding a Rs 25,000 deposit, the Jimny has attracted a lot of interest from Indian consumers, and since it was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023. So far the SUV has received over 15,000 bookings. The Jimny is the brands only ladder-on-frame SUV and will come equipped with Suzuki AllGrip Pro system, which includes 2H, 4H, and 4L low-range transfer gear. As for the powerplant the SUV will feature a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated K15C Dualjet engine from Maruti Suzuki.
