Even after six months of losing the general elections in AP, YCP leaders are yet to digest their failure and are blaming EVMs for their humiliating defeat.
Be it YS Jagan Mohan Reddy or other leaders, everyone has been blaming EVM tampering for their loss in the 2024 elections. One might wonder why they didn’t make the same allegations when they won the 2019 elections with the same EVMs.

In the latest incident, former Rajahmundry MP and YCP leader Margani Bharat echoed the same claims, accusing EVMs of causing YCP’s defeat.
He also challenged that YCP would win with a thumping majority if paper ballots were used in the elections. Bharat further dared TDP, BJP, and JSP leaders to resign and contest again.

He said that even a small boy these days knows EVMs are tampered with. Bharat also alleged that while YCP focused on development, the current government is focused on “collections.”
He stated, “Every day, we used to chant ‘development, development, development.’ Now, the government is chanting ‘collection… collection… collection.’ Wherever a building is being constructed, these people are sending officers to collect money from builders.”

People on social media opined that it is better if YCP leaders accept people’s mandate and be responsible opposition party at least now instead of keeping on blaming the EVMs for their failure.
