Erik ten Hag insists he is not concerned about losing his job – ahead of Manchester United’s crunch trip to Liverpool.
Asked in his Friday press conference if he had the backing of the United hierarchy, despite the side’s dismal run of results, he said: “I feel that and they tell that.
“That’s fine, that’s okay but I’m focusing on the process, to make this team play better, I’m focusing on making the individuals better, that’s my concern. I’m focusing on the team.
“I’m not concerned about that [his job]. I want to win with my team, I want to progress with my team in the right direction so we are here in a project.
“Last season, we were absolutely in the right direction. Now we have had a setback, but long-term the future for Manchester United is very good.”
