Is War 2 moving from August 14 to August 25, 2025? This news has shocked fans but before you panic, let’s get one thing straight it’s probably a mistake.
The film was announced for Independence Day weekend and skipping that big a date makes no sense.

August 15 is a national holiday, so theaters will be packed. Even average films do well during holiday season.
A film like War 2 which thrives on high-octane action and patriotism would be a perfect fit for Independence Day weekend. Giving up on that window seems highly unlikely and illogical.

War 2 is part of YRF’s Spy Universe where patriotism plays a big role. With Hrithik Roshan leading and Jr. NTR making his Bollywood debut, the hype is already huge.
Such a big film deserves a big holiday release. So why delay it to a random Monday (August 25)? The answer is simple it’s probably a mistake.

With an August 14 release War 2 could easily collect ₹100 crore+ in its opening weekend.
But if it really shifts to August 25, it will lose its momentum and rely only on word-of-mouth. No smart studio would deliberately make such a mistake.
Right now official sources still confirm August 14, 2025 as the release date. August 25 seems to be an error, maybe a slip of the tongue or a misinterpretation in an article.
If a postponement really happens it would be a big blunder. Hopefully YRF will clear the confusion soon.
