Vikrant Massey has undoubtedly proved himself as one of the most versatile actors over the years. His filmography also includes the Amazon Prime Video series Mirzapur, where he portrayed Bablu Pandit in the first season.
Vikrant’s character was killed in the ending of Season 1 and he has now opened up about the same during the promotion of The Sabarmati Report, where he plays the lead.

Notably, Vikrant claimed that he was expecting Bablu to stay for a little longer. Vikrant stated that he was disappointed when the character was killed off since he had other plans in mind.
He added that he eventually decided to read a script entirely before signing any contract or being asked to do anything.

He continued by saying that he read the first six episodes due to a miscommunication and was expecting the character to have a bigger arc. He said he was shocked to see that when he signed, he was not expecting to get the last two episodes.
However, Vikrant also mentioned that the role helped him to get better recognition among the audience, and has been able to grab more roles since then.

While the second and third seasons of Mirzapur received a mixed response, a few people were spotted saying that the deaths of Bablu Pandit and Munna Tripathi were a reason why they could not match the level of Season 1.
A film based on the show has been already confirmed and while the announcement video teased the return of all the characters, it remains to be seen if Vikrant gets an opportunity with the rest.
