Sudheer Babu’s Maa Nanna Super Hero, set to release next week (October 11th), has its trailer out. The first impression we get is that there are no deviations from the core script, although it doesn’t reveal much.
The trailer shows the son’s struggle to bond with his father while keeping some intrigue in the background.

On the surface, the trailer looks simple, and that is how it should be. However, maintaining a consistent tone is more important, which the trailer achieves from start to finish, along with nicely written dialogues.
The casting of Maa Nanna Super Hero also looks good, with Sayaji Shinde and Sai Chand in father roles alongside Sudheer.

Jay Krish, who previously delivered music for films like Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru and Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, is a perfect choice for a film like this.
We need to see if the film as a whole hits the emotional chord when we watch it in theaters. The writing is extremely crucial, as simple and honest emotional films like this don’t rely much on regular beats, twists, or commercial elements.

For now, after the teaser, the trailer sets the right expectations. It is now up to the director Abhilash Kankara (LOSER series fame) to deliver a solid emotional punch in theaters.
