M9 News is back once again with the list of popular Newsmakers of Telugu film industry for the month of September. As always, the industry is not short of drama and masala this month as well. Here are M9News’s Top 10 Popular Stars (aka Newsmakers) this month.
1. Jr NTR

The main man of the month, Jr NTR had a major pressure release as his Devara hit the big screens on 27th September. The film opened big at the box office and naturally, Jr NTR was the focal point of many discussions in the industry and outside alike, considering this is his first solo theatrical release in 6 years.
2. Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan has been in the news for a while now, considering he is the new deputy CM of AP. Incidentally, he is back at it with the Prayaschitha Deeksha to atone for the sins of the YCP government with regard to the Tirumala Laddu constituency. Also, he retort Karthi on joking about Tirumala Laddu caught further attention.
3. Jani Master

This noted choreographer made headlines for all the wrong reasons this September after he got arrested in a POCSO case for physically assaulting an underage female assistant. He is currently on remand and is seeking bail. This incident tarnished his image.
4. Koratala Siva
After the Acharya debacle, Koratala really had to deliver with Devara and hence there was a whole lot of attention on him. Adding to that, a couple of tidbits from Koratala’s interview were implicated to Acharya and this added to the traction. In the end, Koratala would be a relieved man as Devara has reportedly grossed Rs 300+ crore at the box office.
5. Karthi
Karthi had a theatrical release this month in the form of Sathyam Sundaram but he was more in the Telugu news for another reason. When Karthi jokingly spoke about Tirumala Laddu, it agitated Pawan Kalyan who reprimanded him, and in turn Karthi apologized. In the end, he was in the news for one reason or another.
6. Anirudh Ravichander
Anirudh is anyway fans favorite for every star hero’s fandom and the same is the case with NTR’s fans. Luckily for them, Anirudh absolutely hit it out of the park with his musical work for Devara. His songs and especially the background score were of elite quality.
7. Nandamuri Mokshagna
The newest debutant from the Nandamuri clan is Nandamuri Mokshagna, the only son of Balakrishna. The makers of his debut film under Prasanth Varma’s direction dropped the first look poster on his birthday earlier this month and the youngster came across as a stylish lad. Theres a lot of emphasis on his debut.
8. Janhvi Kapoor
Bollywood babe Janhvi Kapoor made her Tollywood debut with Devara and despite the short duration of her role, she put on a glamour feast on big screens. Her sizzling hot skin show in the Chuttamalle song was lauded on social media. She would have hoped for a more meaty role for her Tollywood debut though.
9. Mahesh Babu
Mahesh Babu has occasionally been making public appearances in recent weeks. Needless to say, his rugged look with a thick beard and long hair has been catching attention. A couple of such snaps led to a discussion on Mahesh’s look in Rajamouli’s film.
10. Thalapathy Vijay
Thalapathy Vijay had built a decent enough market in Telugu but Goat was outrightly rejected here due to lack of promotions and scrap-like material. This again adds to the standing debate on why Vijay is not taking his Telugu market seriously and working on expanding it here.
