The shooting of Rajinikanth’s most anticipated Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has wrapped up, and Sun Pictures officially announced this yesterday by posting a special video.
Earlier buzz suggested that the Coolie team was planning to release the movie in August, but after the wrap-up announcement, trade experts are predicting that Coolie may be released earlier than expected.

At the same time, it was anticipated that Coolie and India’s most anticipated movie of the year, War 2, may clash in August, as the War 2 team is also aiming for an August release.
However, the shooting of War 2 is not yet complete, and as per updates, the shoot will be completed only by May, whereas Coolie has already wrapped up.

Now, the War 2 vs. Coolie clash is all in the hands of Lokesh Kanagaraj, as Coolie has more time for post-production than War 2. So, it may have a chance to arrive earlier.
It remains to be seen whether Lokesh Kanagaraj will release Coolie earlier to avoid the clash with War 2, or if he will stick to an August release, risking a face-off like Prashanth Neel’s Salaar clashing with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.
