In Hyderabad, booking trends at major multiplexes indicate so-so interest, but the response in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities is reportedly very dull.
With Devara still drawing some crowds, questions about whether Vettaiyan can hold its own arise, with many commenting that the film’s reception will largely depend on its word-of-mouth.

In Tamil Nadu, however, bookings for Vettaiyan are reportedly better but nowhere compared to Vijay’s last few films.

However, it’s worth noting that the buzz around Vettaiyan in the Telugu states is pretty dull. In fact, the bookings for Rajinikanth’s last disaster, Peddanna, were reportedly better than those for Vettaiyan.
The decision to keep a Tamil title for a Telugu dubbed film may have backfired, potentially affecting audience interest and box office prospects.
As the release draws closer, it remains to be seen if Vettaiyan can turn around this poor reception into a success story.
