Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is set for a grand worldwide release on December 5 across IMAX, 3D, 4DX, and ICE formats.
The film has already crossed $1 million in advance bookings in the USA with 15 days to go, a significant improvement from the first film, which only managed $400K in premiere day pre-sales.

However, despite the buzz, the numbers are not as impressive as expected for a film of this scale.
When compared to NTR’s latest release Devara, which amassed $1,040,292 in advance premiere sales with two weeks still to go, Pushpa 2’s $1,021,736 is slightly behind. Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD was at $875K with still 15 days to go for its premiere.

Pushpa 2 is struggling to catch up despite having more locations and nearly triple the number of shows allocated.
The recently released trailer of Pushpa 2 has worked positively, but it has not boosted the pre-sales in a big way, which is not a good sign.

Going by the pace of the bookings, trade analysts predict that Pushpa 2’s Telugu version will likely end below other Telugu pan-India biggies, and the Hindi version may have to carry it.
The target for Pushpa 2 is $25 million in the US. If it is to reach that figure, the Hindi audience must come in huge numbers to meet box-office expectations.
We need to see in the coming days how the jump will be, as there are many promotional events planned. Also, the item song, “Kissik,” must help in boosting ticket sales.
