Barcelona and Spain star Lamine Yamal made a shock appearance on WWE as the company’s European tour headed to Barcelona.

Yamal is one of the most highly-rated stars in the world, featuring weekly for Hansi Flick’s side on the back of helping his country to Euro 2024 success – where they beat England in the final – last year.

WWE, meanwhile, are preparing for WrestleMania, their flagship show, which will take place on April 19 and April 20 in Las Vegas.

On Friday night, SmackDown was held in Barcelona, Spain, while shows will also take place in the likes of Belgium, Germany and Scotland.

Perhaps most excitingly for some fans, however, are the two London dates, with WWE SmackDown to be held at the O2 Arena on March 28 and RAW three days later on the Monday.

Before that, though, Yamal made a shock appearance at the Barcelona show when he was seen in the crowd carrying a custom gold belt, which was handed to him earlier in the day by WWE champion Cody Rhodes.

Stood alongside two others, Yamal donned a white cap and silver chain as the crowd inside the Olimpic Arena went wild.

Prior to the show, Yamal had posed with the likes of WWE boss Triple H and wrestler Drew McIntyre for snaps on social media.

He had also met Rhodes earlier in the day, where he was handed the custom gold belt.

Triple H posed for a snap with the 17-year-old on social media, sharing the photo with the caption: ‘The future of @FCBarcelona is brighter than ever…enjoy the show, Lamine.’

Drew McIntyre, meanwhile, did the same, captioning the post with the message that both men were ‘the chosen one’, accompanied by a handshake emoji.

To seemingly mark their European tour, WWE have unveiled exclusive legacy belts featuring the official branding and colours of 13 major European clubs, including six Premier League sides.

One of those sides is Tottenham, and Scottish star McIntyre took it upon himself to poke fun at Ange Postecoglou‘s men on X.

‘That’s the only title Tottenham have seen in years,’ he wrote, accompanied by three laughing face emojis.
