The theatrical trailer of Jigra has finally dropped, starring Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, giving a glimpse into the gripping narrative of the movie. The three-minute-long clip released by Dharma Productions portrays Alia Bhatt in a fiery avatar like never before.

Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina play the roles of brother and sister in the film. The trailer starts when Satya (Alia Bhatt) receives a call, where she gets to know that her brother Ankur (Vedang Raina) has been arrested, and further sent to death by electrocution in 3 months.
A devastated Satya then questions whether she would be allowed to see her brother in a life-and-death situation. This is followed by a scene where she is on a plane to see her brother.

Following this are powerful action sequences, in which Satya fights her way against all odds to meet and perhaps rescue her brother Ankur. Towards the end of the trailer, we can see that her penance has been successful as she finally gets to meet Ankur.
This whole trailer is a manifestation of the deep love between Satya and Ankur, representing Satya’s emotional turmoil beautifully at the same time.

The trailer ends with a powerful line from Satya, in which she says, “I never said I’m an ethical person. I’m only Ankur’s sister,” highlighting the lengths she can go to save her brother from trouble.
With Vasan Bala as the director, Jigra feels like it will live up to its hype. But we can only know for sure on October 11th, once it hits the theaters!
