KTR’s Offensive Comments Against Telangana Women

After coming into power, the Congress government introduced a free bus scheme for women in Telangana. This initiative was a huge success and got a thumping response from the women across the state.

On the flip side, it also affected the businesses of autos, taxis and other private modes of transport. Meanwhile, BRS working president KT Rama Rao made objectionable comments against women who are using this scheme in the state.

KTR made offensive comments against women in the context of them utilizing the bus services for carrying out their daily cooking chores. He spoke about their comments on the government for not providing enough bus services.

“We never said that it is not correct to peel onion and garlic in the bus. But, we did not know that you guys started making trips only for that,” said KTR in a sarcastic tone.

“We also never said that people can not do stitching and knitting in buses. We did not know that you were running a bus for that. All that we requested is to increase the number of buses. Commission one bus for one person. Let the women take their entire family on the bus. We have no objection. Let them stitch or knit or do record dancing,” said KTR.

In a sarcastic tone, KTR also said that women can do whatever they want in buses and they can even organize record dances. These comments did not go well with some women who are now condemning the same.

Even Minister Seethka condemned KTR’s words and demanded an apology from him. “Is this the culture your father taught you?” she fired at him.

Seethakka termed KTR’s statement as offensive and demanded an unconditional apology from him.
