KTR’s Arrest Unlikely To Evoke Emotions On Par With CBN’s Arrest

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) served summons to Former Minister K Taraka Ramarao to attend for a questioning in the issue of payments for Formula-E Racing in violation of RBI Rules.

The BRS Working President will have to go for questioning on January 7th. Meanwhile, KTR’s Quash Petition is pending in the High Court and the immunity from arrest will end by December 31st.

But will that be the case with KTR?

Firstly, Chandrababu Naidu is an aged- leader. The public sympathy will be natural. But that is the not the case with KTR. There will be similar sympathy on KCR but on KTR, we do not know.

Chandrababu’s arrest was a surprise but KTR was mentally ready for the arrest and also made the cadres ready since many months. That ‘Surprise and Sudden’ factor is always important to evoke emotions. But that is not the case now.

There was a negligible reaction from the BRS cadres when Kavitha was arrested by the ED. The reactions will be a bit more intense but may not be to that level of Chandrababu’s arrest.

And another question is who will lead the party in the absence of KTR? Especially as KCR is being inactive after the defeat in elections last year.
