Koratala Siva Shouldn’t Repeat Shankar’s Mistake

Koratala Siva

Director Koratala Siva has decided to split the narrative of his film Devara into two parts. The first part is set to release on September 27, 2024.

As NTR eagerly gears up for this release, he is also preparing for a new project directed by Prashanth Neel, with plans to have it ready by Sankranthi 2026. Alongside this, NTR will be busy with his role in the Bollywood spy action thriller War 2.

NTR’s commitment to his new film with Prashanth Neel means that the decision on Devara Part 2 will be made after this project wraps up. This leaves fans wondering about the timeline for the second part.

NTR is keen to know the reception to Devara Part 1 before starting its Part 2. Prabhas recently postponed Salaar 2 indefinitely seeing the response to part 1.

Koratala Siva needs to make sure that Devara Part 1 is a complete and satisfying film on its own. The movie shouldn’t end in a way that leaves people hanging and waiting for the next part, especially since Part 2 might not come out for 3-4 years.

A recent example of what not to do is Shankar’s Indian 2, which ended abruptly and left audiences frustrated after three hours of their time felt wasted.

The film then showed a trailer for Indian 3, asking viewers to return to theaters for the conclusion of the story. This strategy backfired badly, leading to a lot of extremely negative feedback.

Koratala should make sure that Devara Part 1 wraps up its story well enough so that viewers won’t feel frustrated and impatient for the next installment.

Devara Part 1 should conclude compellingly so that viewers are intrigued about Part 2 but do not leave feeling dissatisfied. The goal is to spark curiosity for the next installment without leaving the audience with an unsatisfactory experience with part 1.
