Earlier today, Telangana cabinet minister Konda Surekha made shocking allegations against BRS president KT Rama Rao. She said KTR was the reason behind actors Naga Chaitanya and Samantha.
She said that KTR asked Nagarjuna to send Samantha to him to leave N-Convention. She added that was the reason for the disturbances within the Akkineni family which eventually led to Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce.

She further alleged that KTR was responsible for many young actresses marrying early and leaving the industry very early. She also accused him of getting actresses involved in drug addiction.
Meanwhile, actor Nagarjuna reacted strongly to Konda Surekha’s comments. He requested her to take back her words. Taking it to X, Nagarjuna tweeted, “I strongly condemn the remarks made by Honorable Minister Mrs Konda Surekha. It is inappropriate to involve the personal lives of film stars, who stay from politics to attack your political opponents.”

“I urge you to respect others’ privacy. As a woman in a position of responsibility, your statements and accusations against our family are baseless and irrelevant. I request that you take back your comments immediately,” he added.
Konda Surekha has been facing severe backlash for her comments. People on social media have expressed that while verbal disputes are common in politics, they should not escalate to the point of character assassination.
