Suriya’s Kanguva is one of the most expected movies in Kollywood, which was expected to release on October 10th, but now it has been postponed. This is not the first time for Suriya and Kollywood, as release date issues were one of the major problems in Kollywood for a long period.

For the past 10 years, Suriya’s movies, starting from 24, most of his movies were having these release date issues due to various reasons. This is not a good sign for an actor like Suriya. Only two to three movies of him were released with any postponement in the last few years.

There were many reasons affecting the pre-planned release dates; some of them were post-production delays, as some movies won’t be able to complete their post-production works, such as VFX, or re-recording, and final edits, while some movies may get postponed due to business issues. The best example of this was Vikram’s Dhruva Natchathiram, which got postponed more than 3-4 times due to a settlement issue between the director and the producer. In some scenarios, movies were postponed to avoid the clash that was now happening for Kanguva.

The production team should consider all the better possibilities to bring the movie as per the planned date, but in Kollywood, just like that, they were changing the release date; even Dhanush’s Raayan was postponed two to three times. Now after the Kanguva postponement talks, the fans of actor Suriya were heartbroken and tweeting against the actor and the production houses. More than business, a movie was made up for the audiences and fans, but these release date problems may affect the mindset of fans. This isn’t a good sign for the Kollywood industry.
