Knives, Condoms in School: Students or Gangsters?

A surprise bag inspection at a school in Ghoti, Nashik, has left teachers, parents, and the wider community shocked after objectionable items such as condoms, knives, playing cards, and suspected narcotics were found in the possession of students from Classes 7 to 10.

The inspection, carried out by the school’s vice principal, has sparked widespread concern about student behavior and campus safety.

Over several days, the school authorities reportedly found brass knuckles, sharp knives, bicycle chains, letter boxes, and small packets suspected to contain drugs. A video capturing the search and the items discovered has gone viral on social media, further amplifying the public’s reaction.

“The objectionable items were not found all at once. Different students were found carrying different things over several days. To prevent children from developing criminal habits, we are conducting daily checks,” the vice principal stated in a media interaction.

Teachers expressed fears that some students might be using drugs even on school premises. The school has reported the matter to local authorities, and an investigation is now underway. In response, both educators and families are demanding stricter disciplinary measures and enhanced campus security.

Parents have largely supported the school’s proactive approach. “This is the age where children are easily misled. After parents, only teachers can guide them. We support these bag checks,” said one concerned parent.
