Ajay Devgn’s last film Drishyam 2, was a phenomenal success at the box office. When all the Hindi remakes failed miserably at the box office, Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 was the only film that succeeded despite being a remake. Now the star actor is back with yet another south remake. Titled Bholaa, the film is the remake of the south blockbuster Khaiti, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Ajay Devgn himself is directing the film, and he has now made key changes to the movie now. Firstly the actor has cast a female star for the Inspector role, which was played by Narain in the original. Tabu plays this cop role in Bholaa, which was revealed long back.
Now the team shared a glimpse of the first song, which is a romantic number. Dusky beauty Amala Paul plays the love interest of Ajay. The original version didn’t have a romantic track, and Ajay Devgn made this vital change to the remake now.
Drishyam 2 worked mainly because it wasn’t a scene-to-scene remake, and a few portions of the original were kept short in the Hindi version. Ajay Devgn seems to have understood this important aspect very clearly and has made some significant changes to the script. We need to see how rewarding they would be. Bholaa releases on March 30, 2023.
