New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release a tentative exam calendar for 2025 soon. This schedule will include important dates for major entrance exams like:

JEE Main 2025 (for engineering admissions)
NEET UG 2025 (for medical and dental admissions)
CUET UG 2025 (for central university admissions)
UGC NET 2025 (for determining eligibility for assistant professorship and junior research fellowship)

The tentative calendar will be available on the NTA’s official website at nta.nic.in, helping students plan and prepare for the upcoming admission season.

Once the tentative exam calendar is announced by the NTA, the detailed final notifications for exams such as JEE Main, NEET, CUET, and UGC NET will be released on their respective official websites.

Recently, the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) rescheduled the Class 12 final examinations to avoid a clash with the JEE Main exam dates.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) is expected to be conducted in a single session, as is traditionally done. Meanwhile, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions to central universities and other participating institutions will be held in multiple shifts.

Starting from the 2025 cycle, the UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test) is expected to be held twice a year. This exam is crucial for determining the eligibility of candidates for positions such as Assistant Professor, as well as for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and for PhD admissions in Indian universities.
