The teaser for ‘Kesari 2’ has been revealed and it has gathered mostly positive responses from audiences. But a portion of them are critical of it because they think the story is repetitive.
‘Kesari 2’ will be telling the story of C. Sankaran Nair, the lawyer who fought against the British Government in court for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.

Netizens say that now filmmakers are overdoing the story as only this month,SonyLIV has released a web series on the Jallianwala Bagh incident.
SonyLIV’s original series ‘The Waking Of A Nation’ tells the story of the massacre, what events lead up to it and also the aftermath. It has done some wonderful storytelling in a very limited budget.

But Akshay Kumar, however notorious he be for remaking films, must not be blamed for Kesari 2’s subject. The movie will be about the legal elements and the court case about the massacre, which has no less cinematic and empathetic value.
People who are criticising the film are confused about the subject of the film. The two contents are very different, even though they have the massacre as the central point.

And even if it were the same story, there could have been no reason to criticise the makers. The story of an incident of this scale and gruesomeness deserves to be told through new lenses again and again.
