Filmmaker Karan Johar recently addressed the long-rumored fallout with actor Kartik Aaryan, suggesting the Cold war is over and they have
resolved the issue privately.
Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan reportedly had a fallout during the production of Dostana 2. Many claimed it was Kartik who had creative
differences with the team and caused scheduling delays due to script-related issues.

Eventually, Dharma let go of Kartik and officially announced the film would be recast, sparking professional tension between Karan and

In the candid interview, Karan explained at the end of the day Bollywood is a “tiny family,” and “kabhi kabhi gile-shikwe ho jaate
hain,” meaning complaints and misunderstandings are only natural.
During the conversation, Karan revealed that both of them proactively sat down to clear the air and agreed to move forward before any more
public drama could take hold of the situation.

He also praised Kartik as a “hardworking actor” with strong instincts and highlighted the need to prioritize their creative goals over
personal misunderstandings.
Fans speculate Kartik Aaryan is simply too hot to drop right now, and considering Dharma’s recent track record, even they can’t ignore his
box office pull.
Either way, this reconciliation has paved the way for a new Kartik x Dharma project, Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri, slated for
release on Valentine’s Day 2026.
As much as Bollywood loves a controversy, Karan has signaled a fresh start with this renewed collaboration between the two.
In the end, Karan’s parting message was simple: the show must go on. For him, the priority remains delivering good films—no drama needed.
