Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 is one of the highly anticipated films of this year. While the makers have not shared a lot of details about the film until now, they have confirmed that the film is confirmed to arrive on October 2, 2025.
A video was also shared through the official Instagram handle of the film on April 2, 2025, and the caption stated that there won’t be any delays in the film’s release. The news comes after rumors related to the film getting postponed went viral on different platforms.

The upcoming period drama is said to be a prequel to Kantara, which was one of the highest-grossing films of 2022. The film also managed to do good business in North India, where the Hindi version collected more than Rs. 90 crores.
The rumors of the film getting delayed possibly happened since it is reportedly being made on a huge budget of almost Rs. 125 crores, and Rishab Shetty, also the film’s director, might have needed more time to complete the film.

Since the film is releasing earlier than expected, it might emerge as the highest-grossing pan-India film of this year.
The collections are also supposed to be better than the first film since the film will arrive on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, which will be a holiday for everyone.

Rishab Shetty would also be an attractive factor of the film since he is supposed to portray a Naga Sadhu with superhuman powers.
Rishab has taken almost three years for Kantara: Chapter 1, and since the makers have maintained secrecy in terms of the film’s content, it looks like people might get to see Rishab in a different form this time.
But on the other hand, the biggest question right now is whether the screenplay would have entertaining factors like the first film. Everything would be revealed on October 2, 2025, when the film releases on the big screen.
