The Tamil Nadu Film Council today passed a resolution banning reviews near theaters moving forward.
Suriya’s wife, Jyothika, also harshly criticized YouTubers for giving negative reviews and trolling her husband’s film, Kanguva.

This new rule is likely to be implemented in the Telugu states as well.
Dil Raju stated that the Chamber will review it, discuss it with other producers, and soon pass a resolution to ban YouTube reviews or audience reviews given after watching movies outside the theaters with microphones.

The Tamil Film Active Producers Association passed the resolution after seeing the impact of live reviews from theaters for recent films like Kanguva, Indian 2, and Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan. However, it’s clear that Kanguva played a major role in this decision.
