Kanguva Not To Repeat Indian 2 & GOAT Blunders

Kanguva

Suriya’s highly anticipated Kanguva is creating a buzz as it races through post-production, with expectations for a release in November. With a massive fan base eagerly awaiting its arrival, the team is working hard to ensure it avoids the pitfalls that plagued recent big-budget films.

One key concern circulating on social media is the runtime. After disasters like Vijay’s GOAT and Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, both clocking in around three hours, audiences and critics blamed their lengthy runtimes for their failure at the box office. The sluggish pacing and drawn-out narrative proved costly for both films.

Learning from these blunders, Kanguva’s team is playing it safe by trimming the film to a more digestible runtime.

Rumors suggest that the final cut will run for around 2 hours and 40 minutes—a move aimed at keeping the film fast-paced and engaging.

The team also postponed the film’s release to avoid a clash with Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, ensuring a smoother box office performance.

In a strong vote of confidence, Kanguva’s overseas distribution rights have already sold for a record-breaking 49 crores—the highest ever for a Suriya film, showing that expectations are high for this project.
